Katie was born in Salt Lake, Utah and spend most of her childhood there. With her being homeschooled until jr. high, it wasn't until that time that she was able to truly develop her artistic skills with her teachers' guidance. It wasn't until 2010 when Katie discovered exactly what she wanted to do with her art.
In high school she was able to take an animation class, and it is what sparked her desire to work in that field to create movies and characters that so many other people could learn to love and cherish.
After high school, her family moved to South-West Missouri, where they still reside. Meanwhile, Katie returned back to Utah to begin her college education at BYU, seeking to join their art programs.
Though failed to get into the animation and illustration program and she ended up majoring in she General Studies program in Psychology, she is currently minoring in Art, Design, and Computer Science, not giving up her original goal to be an artist. She is estimated to graduate in fall of 2019.
Her art covers a variety of mediums, having done oil paintings, water colors, digital art, etc... She enjoys drawing the most, though animating is a favorite of hers as well.
